Installing LED Bar Projector Headlights on Your 2012 Honda Civic

Rvinyl.com has been pumping out installation videos on YouTube and step-by-step guides for the better part of the last two months now and it would be silly if no one took advantage of the wealth of material. Today’s installation guide covers the install of Spec-D Tuning’s LED bar projector headlights for the 2012 Honda Civic. I have to say that the new LED bar style that we first started seeing on European luxury cars like Audi a year ago and that was everywhere at the 2013 NY Auto Show is an amazing look that really complements the front fascia lines of any car. The 2012 Civic is certainly no exception to this rule either so these headlamps really do a lot to enhance the look of the otherwise staid Civic.

Not for the Faint of Heart

The title of this section is somewhat misleading as the installation process is not difficult at all but it does require a modicum of attention and at least an hour of your time. In order to successfully install these lights you will need to remove the bumper which can be a pain, especially when you consider that you need to remove twelve clips from underneath the bumper. Still, that’s about as hard a s it gets. You do not need to install aor attach a resistor or canceller and there is no messing with wires (except for disconnecting and reconnecting the headlights to the harness).

I won;t bore you with the details but you can find the full, 20-something step guide here: http://rvinyl.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Install-Projector-Headlights-on-the-2012-Honda-Civic Enjoy and have a good weekend!

The 2013 Dodge Viper SRT

The 2013 Viper – Lighter and Stronger

The 2013 SRT Viper will definitely be the talk of town and is the culmination of years of design expertise and testing. Some of the most distinctive and innovative features of the 2013 Viper are a stiffer chassis and a 140 pounds lighter. In order to achieve a tighter shifting ratios and more comfortable feel, the six stick shifts from Tremec and an effortless twin clutch and, to the purist’s delight, there is no automatic version of this supercar yet. 2013 SRT Viper Engine Valve Cover

The SRT Engine – Well-worth Price Tag

The SRT’s engine is perhaps its most  distinctive feature and really justifies its price tag. The 8.4 liter engine has ten horses and much lighter than the previous version by 25 pounds. Aftermarket specialists have the option of changing the aluminum pipe runners to achieve less weight and also boosting the pumping torque after increasing ten more horses. With an aluminum flywheel in place, even more pounds are shed off thus making revolutions much easier to build. To couple into that, one can fix sodium filled exhausts that help regulate temperatures. This has a direct effect on performance. 2013 SRT Viper nterior

A Lusciously Unfinished Interior

At a cost only the uber-rich and insane can afford you would expect the Viper to have a much more well-appointed interior. But, as you can see from the pic above, the interior of the 2013 Viper is pretty spartan despite being wrapped in supple leather. Still, it may very well be that the designers left the interior so sparsely populated in order to leave room for aftermarket modification and this is especially true of the Sabelt seats. which can replaced with more spacious or classic looking bucket seats. It would seem that the options are potentially endless and depend only on the limits of your imagination and pocketbook. If you’re looking for true performance you can strip down the interior and exterior and replace the seats and other accoutrement with carbon fiber parts. Alternatively, real leather and chrome accessories can add refined elegance to the Viper which comes the a great racing pedigree with its factory settings. Suffice it to say that the 2013 SRT Viper is destined to be a classic and is a true American beauty.
